Toyota GR Yaris Rally2 celebrates its German premiere

The Toyota GR Yaris Rally2 is on the road in Germany for the first time. The rally car homologated for customer sport will celebrate its premiere in the Ring Boulevard as part of the Nürburgring 24 Hours (May 30 - June 2). The first race with Philip Geipel and co-driver Katrin Becker will then take place as part of the ADAC Rallye Mittelrhein on June 15 and 16.

The GR Yaris Rally2 is the first vehicle developed by the Toyota Gazoo Racing World Rally Team for customer teams. The international motorsport association FIA successfully homologated the model at the beginning of the year, paving the way for customer sport. The development of the model was based on the many years of experience that has brought Toyota Gazoo Racing World Rally Team four world rally championship titles in recent years.

After the premiere at the ADAC Mittelrhein Rally, Philip Geipel, Katrin Becker and the GR Yaris Rally2 will compete in the ADAC Saarland-Pfalz Rally (June 28 and 29) and the ADAC Rally Stemweder Berg (August 9 and 10). The highlight of the season is the Rally Central Europe (October 17-20) in the border triangle between the Czech Republic, Austria and Germany.
