A traditional brand makes a comeback

With the new electric version of the Ypsilon, the traditional Italian brand Lancia is returning to the international stage. The new model, which rolls off the production line in Zaragoza, Spain, will initially be sold in Belgium, the Netherlands, France and Spain as well as Italy. In Germany, sales will begin in the middle of next year. The reason for this is the conversion of sales to an agency system, which will still take some time.

The Cassina special series, of which 1906 numbered models are offered, marks the start. Many details are reminiscent of the brand's history, and the typical radiator grille identifies the small car as a Lancia. The luxury furniture manufacturer was involved in the development of the interior from the very beginning. The electric Ypsilon is powered by a 115 kW (156 hp) engine, which is supplied with energy by a 54 kWh battery. Alternatively, a 48-volt hybrid variant with 100 hp (74 kW) is available. (aum)
