With the Abarth on the water

Every year in Monaco, car manufacturers and other luxury brands present their products from the luxury segment at the exclusive "Top Marques" trade fair. This year, Abarth used the show to present a motorboat to mark its 75th anniversary: the Abarth Offshore. The motorboat was designed by Centro Stile Abarth and built by the Italian company Car Off Shore. The Abarth Offshore is intended as a tender for yachts. The plan is to build 500 of them.

The "body", painted in dazzling metallic green, has a soft top that is also used on the Abarth convertibles. The interior is two-tone and, like the instrumentation and audio system, is designed to be seawater-proof. Four-point harnesses and shock-absorbing seats turn the Abarth Offshore into a small racing boat - after all, the top speed is 58 knots, equivalent to around 107 km/h. The hydrojet drive delivers 230 hp (169 kW). A special exhaust system from Riva provides the right sound.

The Abarth Offshore can be customized according to customer requirements. The standard equipment includes, for example, a bath deck with retractable ladder, teak-look panelling and a bass speaker for the audio system that uses the dashboard as a soundboard. (aum)
