With the option for off-road

With the Cascan and X-Pedition series, Knaus and Weinsberg want to break new ground - in the truest sense of the word. With the optional all-wheel drive, the Mercedes Sprinter used as the base vehicle becomes a real off-road artist. The van is motorized with up to 190 hp (147 kW), and an increase in ground clearance of 10 centimetres also allows it to negotiate difficult off-road sections. The manufacturer has not yet announced prices, and it is also uncertain whether the two models will make it to series production before the Caravan Salon in Düsseldorf at the end of August. (aum/mk)
