With the exclusive "Super Sport" special series in the Giulia and Stelvio model ranges, Alfa Romeo is commemorating the brand's eleven victories in the Mille Miglia from 1927 to 1957 and the 6C 1500 Super Sport from 1928. Only 275 units of the Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio Super Sport will be built, and 100 fewer of the Stelvio Quadrifoglio Super Sport.
The edition models are characterized by dark details. In addition to the rims, these include the headlining and roof pillars, the darkened rear windows as well as the model-specific lettering and the redesigned "Quadrifoglio" logo. For the first time in the more than 100-year history of the Quadrifoglio, the color white has been replaced by black for the background of the logo. The green four-leaf clover remains unchanged. The trim of the dashboard, center tunnel and door panels in dark red tinted carbon fiber with an open relief structure is exclusive. The sports steering wheel is covered in leather and Alcantara, with black stitching and carbon fiber elements adding accents.
Additional equipment features include the titanium exhaust system from Akrapovic with carbon fiber decor, sports seats in Veloce design with "Super Sport" embossing, black-painted brake calipers with brand lettering and other body details in carbon fiber (e.g. radiator grille and wing mirror caps). The Giulia Quadrifoglio Super Sport rolls on 19-inch alloy wheels in the Classico design, while the Stelvio is fitted with 21-inch alloy wheels in the Prototipo design.
Both are powered by the 520 hp (382 kW) 2.9-liter V6. The Giulia has rear-wheel drive and the Stelvio all-wheel drive. Both have a mechanical limited slip differential at the rear. The Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio Super Sport costs 97,500 euros, the Stelvio Quadrifoglio Super Sport 106,500 euros. (aum)
