The Hyundai Inster arrives at the end of the year

Hyundai presented the Inster at the Busan International Mobility Show (-7.7.) today. The 3.80 meter long electric car is derived from the Casper offered in Korea, but is longer and has a larger wheelbase. The SUV-style Inster is said to offer a range of up to 355 kilometers.

The cockpit consists of 10.3-inch touchscreens for driving information and infotainment. The gear selector lever is located directly on the steering column, so that the center console has space for an inductive charging cradle for smartphones, among other things. The rear seat bench is split in the middle and can be moved up to 16 centimetres. split in two. Hyundai gives the trunk volume as around 350 liters, which can be expanded to up to 1059 liters.

Hyundai uses sustainable materials for both the exterior and the interior of the Inster. A black, high-gloss recycled paint is used on the exterior. The carbon pigment traditionally used in black paint is replaced by a dye made from recycled old tires. Recycled PET from bottles and organic polypropylene from sugar cane are used on the inside.

The standard version of the Hyundai Inster has a 42 kWh battery and an output of 71 kW (97 hp); alternatively, 49 kWh and 85 kW (115 hp) are available. The torque in both cases is 147 Newton meters. The battery can be charged from ten to 80 percent in half an hour at a fast-charging station. The Inster has a Vehicle-to-Load function (V2L) for external devices (230 volts) and thus enables bidirectional charging of e-bikes, e-scooters or camping equipment, for example. The equipment also includes a 360-degree camera and a highway assistant.

The new Hyundai is due to come to Germany at the end of the year. Later, there will also be a model variant called Cross in a light off-road style. (aum)
