Opel is now accepting orders for the new Frontera. The compact SUV with up to seven seats is available as a hybrid at prices starting at €23,900. The 100 hp (74 kW) 1.2-liter gasoline engine is supported by an electric motor with 21 kW (28 hp). Alternatively, the hybrid is also available with 136 hp (100 kW) for €25,700. The Frontera Electric starts at 28,990 euros and delivers 83 kW (113 PS). Its 44 kWh battery provides a range of 305 kilometers. A long-range version with a larger battery and a range of up to around 400 kilometers will follow later.
At market launch, the Frontera will be available in the Edition and GS trim levels. Even the standard version comes with a ten-inch driver information display, a smartphone station, Opel Connect with various telematics services, air conditioning, LED headlights and Parkpilot at the rear. As a GS, the Frontera also features the Pure Panel cockpit with systems such as multimedia infotainment including a 10-inch color touchscreen and integrated navigation, Park Pilot at the front and a rear-view camera. There are also LED headlights and tail lights as well as automatic air conditioning. The new Opel can be further upgraded with the two optional "Comfort" and "Tech" packages. (aum)
