Honda brings Prelude back to Europe

With the European debut of the Prelude Concept at the Goodwood Festival of Speed (July 11-14), Honda is celebrating the 25th anniversary of its hybrid vehicles and at the same time confirming the model's return to Europe. The concept car was first unveiled at the Japan Mobility Show last year.

The first Prelude was launched in Europe 45 years ago and was considered Honda's technology leader for five generations until 2001. The Japanese are not yet revealing the engines, performance or other technical specifications with which the new coupé will be launched on the European markets, nor the launch date or even the prices. What is certain is that the two-door model will also have a hybrid drive. The model name stands for an introductory piece of music and is intended to position the vehicle as a pioneer for future models. (aum)
