Toyota grows by nine percent across Europe

Toyota and its sister brand Lexus sold 626,572 vehicles in Europe in the first half of the year. This is nine percent more than in the same period last year and a record result. While Toyota consolidated its second place among the best-selling passenger car brands in Europe with an increase of nine percent, Lexus remained one of the fastest-growing premium brands on the continent with 41,251 sales and an increase of 21 percent. The commercial vehicle division Toyota Professional improved by ten percent with over 72,000 deliveries. (aum)
