A plug-in SUV for the oldies
Next weekend (July 26 to 28), the traditional "Grand Fête Française" will kick off in Düsseldorf's old town. As Germany's largest French festival, it will not only entertain visitors with culinary delights, live music and classic craftsmanship from the neighboring country. On Saturday, around 150 historic vehicles from French brands will also go on the "Tour de Düsseldorf". The only non-vintage car leading the field is a DS 7 E-Tense with start number 1.
At the wheel of the plug-in hybrid is artist Leon Löwentraut, who is gaining his first rally experience on the 120 kilometers around the state capital of North Rhine-Westphalia. The Parisian premium brand will also be exhibiting the DS 7 and DS 4 models on the Burgplatz. DS Automobiles has been an official partner of the extraordinary classic car rally since 2015. Also at the start: numerous DS, known under the name "Déesse" (goddess), who gives her name to and inspires the DS Automobiles brand. (aum)
