Mahle completes sale

Mahle has completed the sale of its original equipment business with thermostats. The business, which employs around 600 people in six countries, is being transferred to the industrial and investment holding company Admetos and will continue to operate under the name BTT Solutions. The sale of thermostats in the spare parts and accessories trade under the Mahle and Behr brands will continue to be handled by Mahle Aftermarket.

The Stuttgart-based company had already announced the divestment of the business unit in August last year. With its new corporate strategy, Mahle is focusing on electrification and systems for thermal management as well as cost leadership in components for green combustion engines. In this context, the thermostats product area is not a strategic field in the company's original equipment business, according to the statement. (aum)
