Mahle has developed a new drive system for e-bikes. The X30 consists of a motor, battery, HMI (Human Machine Interface) and other components. The hub motor has a torque of 45 Newton meters and sets new standards with a weight of just 1.9 kilograms, according to the manufacturer. Mahle also promises 15 percent greater energy efficiency and a range of up to 190 kilometers compared to a mid-mounted motor.
The built-in torque sensor analyzes the rider's performance more precisely and, in conjunction with artificial intelligence and machine learning, ensures that the e-bike learns the rider's behavior and adapts to the user and environment.
The X30 is compatible with all components and accessories of the X20 system and is customized according to the bike brand and models in which it is used and the customer's philosophy. The motor mapping is defined together with the respective manufacturer and integrated into the e-bikes at the end of the production line. The introduction is carried out in cooperation with renowned partners from the bicycle industry for each discipline, including Bianchi for racing bikes, Husqvarna for children and Stevens for the city.
