Iveco and Foton want to cooperate

Iveco and Chinese commercial vehicle manufacturer Foton have signed a memorandum of understanding to explore potential cooperation in the areas of electric vehicles and components as well as joint business opportunities for Europe and South America. Iveco plans to expand its range of light commercial vehicles below the Daily with a gross vehicle weight of 3.5 to 7.2 tons. Together with Foton, the possibility of using Iveco's sales channels to market an electric panel van in Europe and South America below the 3.5-ton class will be examined.

At the beginning of the year, Iveco had already signed a supply contract with Hyundai for an electric chassis with a gross vehicle weight of 2.5 to 3.5 tons for Europe. (aum)
