Mini Cooper: Three-door followed by five-door

Following the presentation of the new Mini Cooper, the BMW subsidiary has now unveiled the five-door model, which is characterized above all by its greater spaciousness. With 17 centimeters more in length, a good seven centimeters longer wheelbase and greater interior width, three people can be comfortably seated in the rear seats. With almost identical body dimensions compared to its predecessor, the luggage compartment has a capacity of 275 liters, which can be increased to up to 925 liters by folding down the rear seat backrests.

The new Mini Cooper 5-door is available with a choice of two petrol engines. The entry-level Cooper C version is powered by a 156 hp (115 kW) three-cylinder engine, which accelerates from standstill to 100 km/h in 8.0 seconds and reaches a top speed of 225 km/h. The Cooper S has a 204 hp (150 kW) four-cylinder engine with a maximum torque of 300 Nm. The Cooper S has a 204 hp (150 kW) four-cylinder engine with a maximum torque of 300 Nm.
